OVERVIEW

Pikey Peak trek is one of the most beautiful and less crowded trekking trails in Khumbu region of Nepal. Sir Edmund Hillary himself witnessed the beauty of Everest from peaky peak and told nothing can beat the panoramic beauty of Mt Everest from this point. It is popular for its wonderful panoramic view, Orchids and cleansing rituals which take place in August every year. This trek is especially popular as a scenic and an off beaten track among the trekkers.

DETAILED ITINERARY

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m/4593ft)                        

    Upon arrival in Katmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, meet, assist and transfer to hotel. After welcome refreshments and room check in the hotel, there will be a short briefing and orientation about the trek

    Eve: Trip briefing followed by welcome dinner at Authentic Nepali restaurant with culture program.

  • Day 02: Drive to Jiri (1905m/) –7 hrs.

    After early morning breakfast, have a scenic drive to Jiri.

  • Day 03: Trek to Deurali (2,710m/) – 7 hrs

    After breakfast, trek from Jiri to Deurali which takes about 7 hrs. Trek is little bit uphill till Mali Danda and starts to go downhill reaching Shivalayan. After lunch, continue trekking uphill with some beautiful view of snow capped mountains and reach to Deurali.

  • Day 04: Trek to Namkili (2,300m/) 

    After early morning breakfast start trekking through Tamang and Sherpa villages. Trail will be full of Rhododendron forest, Pine forest and Juniper. It will take around 6 hours to reach to Namkili. Inbetween have short tea breaks and lunch at some convenient places.

  • Day 05: Trek to Ngaur (3,350m/)

    It’s a beautiful trail today, trekking continues with first glance of Pike Peak which lies at 4070m altitude. Today, walk 5 hours to reach Ngaur, where we will be staying tonight.

  • Day 06: Trek to Pike Kharka (3,650m/)

    From Nagur, it will take 3 hours walk to reach Pike Kharka. After reaching, explore around. If the weather is good, trek extra 2 hrs to reach Pike peak, else stay at your tea house or tent and rest.

  • Day 07: Hike to Pike Peak (4,070m/), Trek to Phaplu (2,470m/)

    Early morning hike to Pike peak to catch the sunrise. Return back and have your breakfast. And further continue all the way back to Phaplu.

  • Day 08: Fly to Kathmandu

    Fly back to Kathmandu from Phaplu airport. Or, you have an option to drive to Kathmandu. Explore Kathmandu town on your own, do street shopping and enjoy. In the evening we will have farewell dinner.

  • Day 09: Final departure.                                                                    

    Free for final minute packing and shopping until transfer to the airport for final departure. (Breakfast Included)
